Example lecture from SIVA university

This lecture is a lecture from SIVA university a part of its 4 year curriculum, studied at the 1st year. This lecture is on Marana Karaka Sthan. I will give you exact lecture as it was taught during the SIVA lectures. In this way, I will try to help you out with understanding this topic in a better way, while at the same time I will provide an insight into a SIVA teachings. This lecture will be given in full.   Grahas are considered in a dying avasta in such places   

•Whenever any graha or a bhava goes through the process of destruction (neela shakti), an owner of a horoscope will experience suffering

•Why are grahas dying?

   Marana sthan grahas indicate bad previous karma which inevitably cause suffering.  

•Any graha in Marana Sthan will affect the following:

   

      1. It destroys the intelligence of a bhava. We will be forced to approuch the bhava under the terribly circumstances, as dying.Normally such approach and attiude will lead to suffering.

         2. It destroys the bhavas for which a graha is karaka. The luck will vanish in these bhavas. Such pain will come as a consequence of our attachment for that graha.

         3. It will damage the bhavas it rules. We will have to bring choices and make decisions in a deadly/terrible circumstances.

These are the main rules which are about to be elaborated.

MARANA STHAN POSITIONS 

SURYA IN 12.BHAVA

Surya is the king and is found in the bhava of renunciation. The king is not on the throne, and he has to renounce it. He feels sick and powerless.The problems we talked about will also arise, apart from dangers from fire. However, Surya in this bhava will not affect health as per Bhava Rathnakar rule. The person will embody the power of Vamana Avatar as per the adityas. 

ChandraIN 8.BHAVA

Chandra rules prana and longevity and will affect health, harm domestic harmony, mother etc. Longevity may suffer, unless chandra is in own or exalted sign where a person can come out of troubles after turmoils. It will also cause a loss of direction and may cause depression, and dangers from water. Resourses are lost as well, unless shukra conjoins or is placed in 2nd bhava. Others effects as we talked will also manifest.

MANGAL IN 7. BHAVA

As brahmanchaya or in celibate he feels like dying in the bhava of sexual partnership. A person will have at least 3 broken relationships and your partner will be “grabbed” by another as it was the case in Shri Ram chart. Younger brothers or collegues will suffer.A person may waste time on useless activity particularly if Shukra infleunces. 

BUDHA IN  4. and 7. BHAVA

Budha is Maran Sthan in 2 bhavas, 4th and 7th. Budha is in Marana sthan for a bhava where mituna rashi is placed. Budha is a child, immature, before puberty as well. He likes to play and dislikes to sit and learn. Therefore, education may suffer and career as well, particularly in Dashamsa chart. Budha hates Chandra, so attitude towards a mother may not be always coordial.

In 7th bhava, budha is marana stan for kanya rashi, where Shukra karaka is neecha.Thus relationship will suffer. Kanya, the pure one hates to abide with sexual partner.

GURU IN MARANA STHAN IN 3rd BHAVA

Guru is a spiritual Guide and he hates to sit in the house of sexual copulation. 3rd house is also the house of astra or the weapons which are used for protection or war. Guru dispise wars and fightings since his weapon is Mala. For Guru Upadesha, this placement is desirable.

SHUKRA IN MARANA STHAN IN 6th BHAVA

Shukra feels bad in a house of enemities, celibacy where Kanya is a natural sign of Kala Purusha. She wants partnership, harmony and cooperation. However, too much enjoyments may lead to a ripu. Therefore, Marana sthan is 6th bhava.

SHANI IN MARANA STHAN IN LAGNA

Shani is in Marana Sthan in Lagna. He has a problem to follow Surya the karaka. Shani is a karaka for physical pain and disease. He rules the dark. Lagna is life and represents health. Shani is further the servent who cannot sit on the throne which is Mesha rashi, royal sign of the Kala Purush.

RAHU IN MARANA STHAN

Rahu is in Marana Sthan in 9th house. Rahu eclipses Surya the karaka for dharma, rules etc. Rahu breaks the rules, and creates his own rules according to a need. It is demon wearing a monk’s robe. Some schools consider Rahu in Marana sthan in 8th and 10th houses, which will be discussed in detail during discussion classes.

KETU IN MARANA STHAN

Ketu is in Marana sthan in 3rd house. Sadhu feels unhappy in the house of fighting and sexual intercourse.Mithuna the natural sign of the 3rd house in Kala Purusha, is one of the dirthiest signs. Some schools consider Ketu in 2nd and 4th as Marana Sthana, which will be discussed during discussion classes.

Three types of damage for MKS effects

1. Damage of a bhava where Marana Graha is placed 

2. Damage of a graha ruled by Marana sthana graha

3. Damage of a bhava, Marana graha is karaka for. It inludes naisarghik and other karakatvas damage

First type of damage

1. Bhava will not undergo destruction provided karaka is well placed. For example, if mangal is in 7th, a marriage luck will depend on Shukra. Pratyadhi Devata for Karaka is remedial measure, where Luck and God’s hand will save the marriage.

2. Lord of a bhava dispositing MKS graha has to be well placed. It guranatees good decisions and choices as per the bhava concerned. Use the rules for Kalpa Druma Yoga to see what will help against MKS graha. IF dispositor of MKS is well placed, health will not suffer. DIspositor of such dispositor will keep the mind well. Navamsa dispositor will bring the luck. Remedial measures for each grahas are Shiva mantra, Devi Mantra and Vishnu Mantra respectively.

Second type of damage

1. Bhavas ruled by MKS are dying. A person will make decisions under terrible pressure and circumstances related to those bhavas.  THe bhava which is not attended by a graha by purusha and stree principle will suffer particularly.

2. Check the planets or aspects to those bhavas. Benefics like Budha and Guru will give a right approach and intellignent attitude which will help them out against MKS lord.

3. Karaka for those bhavas should be well placed to guard against of evil of MKS

Third type of damage:

1. Karaka is in MKS. This is the worst type of damage and indicates bad karma and terrible suffering on a count of houses MKS graha is karaka for.

2. Benefics in those bhavas will releive suffering due to a native intelligence.

3. Bhavesha well placed will indicate that a person will make good choices. However, this will not remove MKS due to a bad luck

The remedies:

1. If a day strong graha is in Marana Sthan, the birth during the day will lessen the evil effects of MKS graha. The same holds true for nightbirth and night strong grahas. Budha in MKS will be neutralized with a birth in morning/evening sandhi.

2.If a graha is in Marana sthana, and is conjoined the its dispositor or a karaka of a bhava where it is placed, the damage of the house is less

3. If a graha is in Marana sthana and is conjoined a karaka for a bhava ruled by it, the damage of a bhava it rules is less.

4. If a graha is in Marana sthana and is conjoined the ruler of the house in a natural zodiac, it can help a karaka.

5. If a graha is in Marana Karaka sthan and is exalted, a person will come out of a marana effects after impossible odds. The same holds good but to a lesser degree in case of multrikon and own signs. Some positions in divisional charts will also strongly counterpart MKS which will be explained during discussion classes.

6. If a graha is in MKS and is conjoined benefic graha, particularly Guru and Budha, a person will be able to overcome some evil effects due to good decisions.

7. If a graha is in MKS a certian position of planets in vara chakra will be able to neutralize its evil effects. The detailed explanation will be during discussion classes.

8. Grahas will be propitiated by propitiating, the aditya of a house, the devata of a graha: Surya- Shiva Mrityunjaya, Chandra-Gauri, Mangal-Shiva (Rudra), Budha (Vishnu), Guru ( Dakshinamurti), Shukra (Laksmi), Shani (Durga), Rahu and Ketu (Chandi and Vinayaka, or Guru mantras)

9.Marana sthana of a graha will cause a tatva dosha, while in a such case a panchanga should be examined. These principles will be explained in detail during discussion classes.
